Privacy policy

Here we explain what data we process when you browse this website or contact us. This policy covers the current CashMySkins website announcing our launch.

Who is responsible for your data?

The data controller is Game Commerce Sp. z o.o., registered at ul. Powstańców Warszawy 10A/4, 73-110 Stargard, Poland. Polish tax ID (NIP): 8542446512. Company register number (KRS): 0001073163.

For questions about privacy or your personal data, email support@cashmyskins.com.

When you contact us

We process your email address, your message and any details you choose to include, such as your name. We use them to reply and deal with your enquiry. Providing this information is voluntary, but we cannot reply without a return address. Do not send passwords, Steam Guard codes or payment details.

Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling correspondence under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The current website has no contact form, newsletter or active Steam sign-in. We do not retrieve data from your Steam account or inventory.

When you browse the website

To deliver and protect the website, the hosting infrastructure processes technical data such as your IP address, request time, page address and browser information. This data may appear in logs used to identify errors and abuse.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest is keeping the website running and secure. Connection data is necessary to deliver the website to your browser.

Cookies and language preferences

When you change the language manually, we save your choice in the cashmyskins_locale cookie for one year and in your browser’s localStorage under cashmyskins.preferred-language. The localStorage entry remains until you or your browser delete it. Both entries contain only a language code.

These entries remember your chosen setting. You can delete or block them in your browser settings. Each language version remains accessible at its own address. Without a saved choice, we use your browser’s language settings, with English as the fallback for unsupported languages. We do not use IP location to choose your language.

This version of the website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, advertising pixels or tools that track behaviour across websites. We do not profile you or make decisions with legal effects on you based solely on automated processing.

Service providers and data transfers

home.pl S.A. provides our email service. Cloudflare hosts, delivers and protects the website. These providers process data as needed to provide their services. Authorised public bodies may also receive data where required by law.

Cloudflare operates a global network, so technical data may be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Cloudflare provides safeguards, including the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, under its data processing terms. You can contact us for information or a copy of the safeguards applicable to your data.

How long do we keep data?

We keep correspondence for the time needed to reply and resolve your enquiry. If a specific matter requires evidence to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, we keep the relevant data until the applicable limitation period expires or the dispute is finally resolved. The legal basis for this retention is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

The website does not maintain its own database of browsing history. Cloudflare states a default retention period of seven days for user activity logs in its data retention terms. Data relating to a specific security incident may need to be kept until it has been investigated or any related dispute has been resolved. Language storage periods are explained above.

Your rights

Under the conditions set out in the GDPR, you can access your data and obtain a copy, request corrections, deletion or restricted processing. You can also object to processing based on our legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. Email support@cashmyskins.com.

You can lodge a complaint with the President of Poland’s Personal Data Protection Office. Details are available at uodo.gov.pl. You may also contact the competent supervisory authority in the EU country where you usually live, work or where the alleged infringement occurred.

Links and policy updates

Links to Steam and other external services lead to websites with their own privacy policies. Displaying their logos on our website does not start a sign-in process or share your account data.

We will update this policy before introducing accounts, skin purchases or new tools that process personal data. The current version and its update date will be available on this page.
